Domestic workers need a day off too!

Human always take advantage of human especially if you are a 'lesser mortal', (MP charles chong said that )..So from time immemorial domestic workers (DWs) are exploited and worked till they literally dropped dead!!

Are we human enough to treat human as such?..All are bored by their mothers and have fathers too...So do you!! Having said that..there are good employers too, doubtless.

As this off day a week is going to enact by law next year, many employers (who only think of their own off-days) are up in arms because of a wider implication and complexities of giving DWs a day off each week.

A true experience of one of my sisters..She allowed her maid to move freely and when free, she can go downstairs and chit chat with other maids..Behold!..came the Bangladesh boys and problem arises of love-making and sex..She was sent home!

So...what are the repercussion of this issue when the authorities did not even consult a wider feedback of the population...and with one sweep, it is going ahead with the implementation. Is the govt consultative and respect the views of citizens and employers??

Wha t will happen if maid got into trouble...So, the buck is pushed to the employer to hold the responsibility of their maids..It is not so fair to speak if each week she goes out and get herself into trouble or become pregnant, employers would have their $5000 bond forfeited and still got to pay for the other troubles of sending the maid home...Is that a fair deal in the first place?

The policiy-makers are so daft and so straight as to dulldoze a national wide domestic workers (DWs) policy just like that??

Greater understanding of how, why, at times employers do not want DWs to have too many off -days..Yes! there are many DWs who are responsible of their own welfare to fall into trouble and got impregnated.

Hence, on the very surface, when the authorities push for something to be implemented..did they have that scholastic angst and commonsense to see a more obtuse angle, or they just see a 5 degree lesser acute angle of their myopic intelligence??...Mind you many in the elite ruling govt are all scholars hor!..I rest my case!..regards.

I for all would like to see domestic workers (DWs) being treated like human too!

The LOVE of my life...My WIFE.

Wayne wong inspired the reminiscence of my love life and how to live with your the other half to gain blissful harmony!!...Read on please.....

Though a wife who is Western educated but oriental conservatism..She said kissing can transfer germs...those years I always gargle with Listerine! just joking !

Let me share with you the love of every average people like me..Courtship is heavenly bliss...everything also can....When she wanted the moon...you try to get it by placing a basin of water and when the full moon shines in the basin of water..just grapped it for her...Solved!

Then comes married...first six months, enjoyed the living daylights of just married and all the sexual love making...

When the firs baby arrived...Sex life pattern also changed....More time for baby than for sex...Second kid comes and due to S'pore's policy of stop at two...wife went for ligation and ho! and presto! sex life took another turn..Too busy with two kids..too tired for sex.. or is it the ligation has side-effect ?

My sacrifice was great .....Hence I enrolled in course after course if I was not assigned overseas and studied Sexology...human psychology on relationship and development..All my certificates just enriched my life..no further than after I embraced Buddhism and took meditation in seriousness when I was seconded to Jakarta for 3 years...living in JKT after our engagement..in 1973 t0 1975....

Came back after 3 years and got married in 1975 when I was 30 years old...Our married lasted 38 years...WHY??...it is the understanding ...the mutual respect of each others space. LOVE is not all sex in our oriental custom of life..differed greatly the western love of sex as the love of marriage and how so many marriages in Western culture failed especially in the high society of Hollywood!! Where SEX and Orgies are the predominant must in love...if not divorce would be the settlement....!

MY love for my wife has never faded ...We compromised with holidaying around the world with our two kids and my son was a product of the Swiss Alps when my wife came back conceived..So cold in the mountains I played Bed-minton lah!.

So, that is the love of my life...nothing more nothing less...Definitely not like what today's Sunday Times said .....

And as my wife is suffering from Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the spine)...Fate is the destiny of life...I love her even more...sharing her suffering with me...God bless!

..She never like roses on her birthday too..When I sent that to her office, I got a good scolding that I wasted the money..That was and is my wife...How to accommodate her whims and fancies and idiosyncrasies?...I can and I live to tell the story.

Or else I be "poisoned" to death ...hahahah! (there was a true case of a wife doing that to the husband in S'pore and she was charged in court..Luckily the husband did not die).

Living has many possibilities...it is how you compromise your needs to meet the other half's wants that life can be a song , if not, it will be a chore to your existence....

Marriage is the final sacrifice for that 'smooth' journey with serious mutual understanding !

Never be surprised, many a difference comes only after you are married for as long as you can endure !

My Singapore News: CPF Poll – Return our money...It is only right that the citizens be given a choice to take out their CPF money or save it in CPF..The government cannot legislate such a law to forced-keep our CPF..It is undemocratic !!

But all Power controls the masses..And Power is king..how can we citizens go about in this conundrum !??

Did our economy fare badly then when we did not have casinos on our land? What are the repercussions and societal upheaval that has upset many a life of S'pore families..Problem gambling is so rampant.

Authorities always see the optimistic side of the coin, carpeting the dark side of misery of problem gamblers and their families. Couselling can do that much only. the damage had been done!

NCPG can only do that much. National Council of Problem Gambling (NCPG) only comes in when someone is deep in the shit. And by them, the family members and children would have been affected. It is a regression in society when we have too many problem gamblers.

The govt pushed ahead even when Lim Boon Heng- the lone ranger - cried for mercy not to approve the building of the casinos. .Few years down the road...It is the operators and the govt..that are laughing to the bank!

The worst affected are the poor and according to a finding , The poor gamble more than the average rich!..the poor can gamble $1000 of their $2000 salary or in many case finished all and be in bad debts..Hence 'legal' and illegal moneylenders are doing a soaring business without care of a damn of what society has become!

Our govt must bear the greater responsibility on the social decadence of gambling on a large scale. NCPG is just an ineffective 'good to see and hear organisation only...

As long as there are gambling in a community, no want is the wiser and more are to lose! Only as I say aain, the operators and the govt stand to gain millions or billions of the sweat money of the poor.

As though Toto, 4-D and horse racing is not enough. Casino is the ultimate death of many who cannot resist gambling..How many can , may I ask ??

The Aftermath of the three Sues !

The Aftermath of the Sue..Sue...Sue !!

The local political storm subsided somewhat on the YSL farce. And a mini-tsunami stirred the PAP camp just less than a week ago with Foreign ministar Shan-mutu starting the ball rolling and PM Lee and brother followed in the sue-ing process.

Yawning Bread (Alex Au) cannot even yawn to see ! TRE quickly threw in the towel.
(Richard Wan just said don't wan....t !)

The 'Rock of Gibraltar' is a strong as ever, any more eggs to crack on it??....S'pore can only sue others (and sure if you are in the "wrong!"..hahaaa!)

A political writer's (me) analysis of the fracas. In the eyes of the citizens, many would have the swift conclusion of the ruling system arm-locked the weaker party.. Whosoever is right or wrong...in the eyes of S'poreans, is still the system not only arm-lock the supposed perpetrator but want shut off their oxygen!

Is this a democracy of freedom of expression and human rights ?? It is to the Power of Control to interpret ! Power is King everywhere on earth...not only in S'pore!!

Hence the political sourness of relationship is brewing emotionally strong again. And it would be a consequence of VOTES in the 2016 GE... Never hurt human emotions!!

PAP should know how and why they lost Aljunied GRC....A gentle friendly reminder please!!

Lately, there were two letters of demand from PAP to sue, first Alex Au of Yawning Bread ..because of one article comment by someone on his Blog...Naturally, Alex (a friend of mine) got to bear the responsibility..He was sued by Foreign minister Shanmugam for baseless allegation of a comment by a morally no courage guy who dared not even put his real name on Alex's Blog. Alex Au, in the end, issue an apology on his Blog and removed the offending comment..All's well that ended well.


Today, Temasek Review Emeritus (TRE) got sued by PM LHL for a unfounded write on his wife Ho Ching, incidentally is the CEO of Temasek Holdings..not Temasek Review, haha! And by the news I heard at 5 pm today, TRE had issued a statement that they would withdraw the offending article and comply by PM's lawyers demand of taking out the article and posting an apology on TRE to equal to the time and day..-TRE had posted that article...Fair demand!


Singapore is an open society...many things are open..but many things too are not so open for scrutiny..We need to be more cautious in what we wrote or what we alleged (must have solid proof for any such allegation)...So, S'pore practises our own form of fair justice as deem by our government..and who can default them, when we have no basis to retaliate. Remember, we are a democracy, but we are not Uncle Sam's America. We have not reached there yet..And we will never attain that height. If we do, S'pore may or may not be that peaceful. We need to understand the governing of the government!


Whoever is in power, the power lies in their discretion of judgment. So, let us not go beyond the benchmark of discernment! As we recall those years of happy sue-ing by PAP against opposition during campaigning and after the elections. Those years was a real scarce for the oppositions. J BJ, Tan Liang Hong, Francis Seow and Chee Soon Juan all tasted the brunt of lawsuit on the happy trigger of PAP...and the worst would be those political detainees of ISA..It is that power is the justice!


We do hope that that era of fear is over..And we sincerely hope as responsible citizens , we can disseminate news accurately and without bias!


We will be on the road to civilization in the internet age!

When Khaw Boon Wan as Chairman said WP had misled the people of Hougang, many of us do not know whether to laugh or to snub KBW's rhetorics. How can a Chairman of PAP, without even a simple thought, laid an accusation on Workers Party. With PM Lee saying likewise!.

Is it within the control of WP when YSL went astray with his philandering ? WP has no control of his private life. If for that matter YSL voted in by the residents, neglected his duty as a MP to his ward then WP is at fault to pick such an MP...As simple as that!

What KBW need to say ...would be..."It is unfortunate that after such a short 8 months WP is saddled with YSL's revelation of sexual deceit. Human failure is everywhere. I, KBW empathise with WP for that unfortunate happening. We move on and PAP will strongly challenge WP to capture back Hougang when by-election is held."..General statement of understanding..How magnanimous, right! But no KBW must uttered that WP had misled the voters of Hougang..In what way has WP misled the voters?..Just because of YSL misdeed? Can WP control his personal lust of wrongdoing?-

What had been done or what had said, will bear a repercussion on each party.

WP had done its best of damaged control by asking Yaw (YSL) to account for his wrongdoing. Yet YSL was too adamant and maintained his silence. And in so doing WP's CEC had no choice but to give a fair internal deliberation and Yaw was voted out..literally dismissed! This showed how WP can be accountable and transparent to the people and residents of Hougang.

And by such action WP is one to be emulated as setting a precedent to any other parties that accountability and transparency is the way to go, if MPs or even ministers erred in their duties..and moral undertakings.

In fact PAP was really caught unaware that WP's LTK would deliver that salvo in the strictest of discipline to his protege! And he did with a heavy heart for sure..but it must be done, in view of YSL's overtly silence, which is not an option!

With this episode causing a mini-tsunami of sort..it paves the way for a by-election for Hougang.

And PAP is in two minds...To hold or not to hold!...PAP has little choice! so out pop that lost young loser in Hougang coming out again from nowhere to tell the press if Hougang needs him , he will hold MPS for the residents...Has not Desmond Choo (DL) abandoned those who had voted for him...this I would say is a 'real misled' by DL whom residents voted him as the loser then.

A real opportunist coming out of the blue to claim his unofficial tuft as though he has ownership of it...LOL!

Let the by-election decides the credibility of a person..true to the people or a opportunist who hid under the coat-tail in losing and making a comeback..thinking he had taken Hougang already ..hahaahaa!-

The BY-election must be held and PAP knows too well, it will be another anti-climax, not of YSL philandering but of PAP losing Hougang again to WP...And it would be the reinforcement of how the people of Hougang know what is good and right for them...YSL's debacle would not ruffle a feather!

People are not daff to know what is a sincerity of action on WP's party on transparency and accountability...Desmond Choo will be 'hamtam' into a 'chapati'...predictably a second time loser if PAP will to field him....Though Eric Low held the dubious record as the rhino-skin man...insensitive to his losing and losing, until he threw in the towel..LOL!

Hougang after the by-election would still be WP's baby love! ...Bye bye love PAP, Hougang is not yours to take on in 'lust!'..hahaaaha!
